Trikala is a city of western Thessaly, the capital of Trikala Regional Unity and the Municipality of Trikala. The city is crossed by the river of Lethaios, which is a tributary of Pinios. Trikala had a population of 61,653 inhabitants, while the Municipality of Trikala had 81,355 inhabitants. They are very close to Meteora Kalambaka. Also nearby are Trikala famous destinations such as: Elati, Pertouli, Gate.
